The UK labour market has recently seen a slight stabilisation. According to the latest statistics by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the unemployment figure remained unchanged at 8.4 percent and it did not increase, which can be seen as a first sign of hope. The chances of finding a job are also on the rise, as companies are offering more jobs. According to the ONS, the number of vacancies rose to nearly half a million (476,000) in the three months to January.
However, the situation remains fragile and competition is still tough. The ONS also recently reported a rise in part-time employment which is mostly due to the fact that people were unable to find full-time employment. Although a part-time job is better than no job at all, we can assure you there are not only part-time positions out there. The following companies offer a variety of positions in different industries and they are hiring right now.
