* Training Manager
Based: Ayr Office
Hours: 35 per week
Rate: TBC
+ Deliver a range of services to our Client base which ranges from large scale companies to SMEs
+ Develop and grow our training division throughout the UK, this role will require you to report directly to our Company Director(s)
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to gain and maintain the trust of our team of trainers and supervise their continued development
+ Demonstrate experience in developing relationships with employers and converting dialogue into business
+ Develop and implement S/NVQ Courses across construction related subjects is essential
+ Formulate relevant plans and methodologies to implement Online Training provision
+ Develop training across various platforms and oversee the running of our current courses
+ Maintain our current accreditations to deliver the CITB Site Safety Plus suite of courses and IOSH Managing and Working Safely courses
+ Minimum NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification)
+ Minimum TECH IOSH
+ Proactive approach to working, willingness to learn and develop, strong people-facing skills
+ Relevant teaching qualifications: Award in Education and Training, PTLLS or equivalent
+ L&D9D1; L&D1; A1, A2 and V1 Qualifications
+ Full, clean Driving Licence and the ability to travel to Clients' sites throughout the United Kingdom
* Principal Designer
Based: Ayr Office
Hours: 35 per week
Rate: TBC
+ Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and associated legislation and guidance
+ Perform the role of Principal Designer on a range of projects throughout the United Kingdom
+ Prepare and deliver Pre-Construction Information Documents, review Construction Phase Plans, issue commencement certificates and submit associated documents on behalf of the Client, prepare and deliver Health & Safety File
+ Provide CDM best practice advice
+ Host CDM Workshops with Clients and Consultants
+ Prepare Project Risk Information
+ Liaise with all project parties
+ Attend Client, Pre-start, Progress and Site meetings and carry out CDM Site Audits
+ Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Civils, Health & Safety (or relevant vocation / relevant experience)
+ NEBOSH NGC/NCC or Diploma (preferred but not essential)
+ Proven experience in successfully providing CDM / Principal Designer services to Clients
+ Proactive approach to working, willingness to learn and develop, personable, flexible

* Senior Health & Safety Consultant
Based: Ayr/Glasgow
Hours: 35 per week
Rate: Competitive
+ Provide CDM and general H&S services to a range of clients
+ Be able to discuss H&S practically and provide guidance where necessary, working collaboratively with clients to ensure a positive outcome
+ Collaborate with the Directors to co-ordinate health, safety and CDM knowledge both in a project setting and within CDM Scotland Ltd
+ Travel to a range of client sites to provide H&S advice and services
+ Interfacing with clients and regulatory third parties
+ Provide toolbox talks and training as appropriate
+ Preparation of site specific risk assessments when required
+ Co-ordinate accidents & incident management on client sites and complete any required follow-up process
+ Delivery of CITB and IOSH training courses
+ Any other tasks as required by the business
+ Educated to degree level with a background in construction, however those with equivalent experience will also be considered
+ Excellent knowledge of safety and construction gained from broad experience across a range of industry sectors
+ Experience and understanding of the practical implementation of the CDM Regulations in addition to Health and Safety
+ Strong people skills to enable you to work effectively with colleagues/suppliers and build strong relationships
+ Be highly organised, an excellent team player with good IT skills and must be able to demonstrate practical competence, flexibility, commitment and problem-solving capabilities
+ The applicant will hold a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and have membership of a Professional Institution (e.g. CMIOSH or working towards) and hold (desirable) a level 3 qualification such as PTTLS or Award in Education & Training
* Trainee Principal Designer

The role of Principal Designer is to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety in the pre-construction phase of a project. As part of the CDM Team you will learn this profession from highly experienced and motivated experts, work as part of a bespoke team, work across all construction sectors, gain new skills and build a wide-ranging folio of work. + Carrying out the role of Principal Designer in compliance with CDM regulations
+ Coordinating and monitoring designers in compliance with CDM regulations
+ Attending design team meetings, progress meetings, and other meetings
+ Carrying out site audits to assess health & safety compliance
+ Working to specific deadlines, ensuring efficiency and good time management
+ Supporting your allocated mentor and senior team members
+ Undergoing training to ensure any areas of limited skill and knowledge are addressed.
+ Educated to a degree level or above in a construction or safety related vocation
+ Ability to work across multiple projects
+ Understanding of the principles of prevention and risk elimination, reduction and control
+ Knowledge of CDM and other associated regulations
+ NEBOSH construction certificate or similar (desirable, but not essential)
+ Understanding of the process of a construction project from inception to completion
+ Construction industry experience (desirable, but not essential).
