This company is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant.
Initial Duties & Responsibilities • Assist Financial Controller with the production of the monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets • Oversee Sales Ledger • Oversee Purchase Ledger • Assist with process improvement projects including the introduction of a PO system • Review spend in line with budgets • Assist with statutory reporting requirements including VAT returns and Year End accounts • Assist credit controller chasing customer payments, if required • Assist Financial Controller with adhoc projects
Experience: • At least 3 years experience working in an accounts department • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA/Equivalent or AAT qualified • Strong Microsoft Excel skills • Use of Xero accounting software an advantage • Technology sector experience preferable
About You: • Capable of working unsupervised to meet deadlines • High attention to detail • Strong organisation skills • Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) • Demonstrate skills as a self-starter • Willingness to learn and develop as the business grows further
