Being part of a small Finance team, we help each other like family and are proud of our stable and successful reputation amongst colleagues. Day to day, you’ll have overall responsibility for cash flow management within the business, managing detailed reconciliations across our various trading lines.
The day job can vary as much as the British weather so you’ll need to be agile and look for opportunity in everything you do. But we’ll talk to you about this should you be successful on application and be invited to interview.
As a heads-up from us, to you, here’s some of the “traditional stuff” that you’d be doing in your Finance role with us …
Banking transactions within the business, including responsible for daily bank reconciliations for Home Shopping and Retail and 3rd party receipts, e.g. Amazon and Paypal Cash flow management, including monthly forecasting and updating daily cash flows Managing USD contracts and paying suppliers Reviewing customer orders to ensure efficient dispatching
There are also some core basics to being one of our Assistant Accountants which should help you decide if you want to pursue a career with us. These include:-
Experience in cash flows, automated reconciliations & supplier payments Experience of dealing with USD’s To be familiar with process mapping To have an understanding of SAP Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills To be confident in communicating with colleagues, customers and suppliers A great attitude to work and be a team player A background in home shopping or retail is desirable
