About the Role


With a strong track record in leading large complex bid teams to win work, you will have full responsibility for all aspects of delivering a quality bid - establishing, inspiring and leading teams, defining and delivering the bid approach. You will ensure differentiated win strategies and value propositions are created as well as lead commercial strategies and pricing.

A strong collaborator and influencer, you will be adept at managing stakeholders to retain high degrees of confidence, ensuring bid programmes are well governed and budgets are controlled.

You will need extensive experience in managing complex, multi workstream opportunities and internal governance processes.

Time management, efficiency, the ability to meet deadlines and work independently are also important, so excellent due diligence and attention to detail is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the Key Account Lead to understand and translate client needs into win strategies and value proposition development

• Identifying bid team requirements and matching resource accordingly

• Leading relationships and developing a collaborative and integrated team with our clients, key stakeholders and our supply chain to ensure a successful bid outcome.

• Ensuring that project controls, planning, cost risk and change are developed and delivered effectively, and that this information is used to make timely decisions

• Developing and leading bid plan and overseeing the effective execution of the plan

• Developing and overseeing a compliant, differentiated, and winning quality and commercial bid submission

• Managing and reporting of the bid budget

• Managing and preparing governance documents and completing CRM and ensuring information security for the bid

• The capture and management of Bid and Delivery Risks

• Undertaking post-submission analysis on tender, capturing, and sharing of lessons learnt for future opportunities

• Handover of project to the delivery team

Experience

• 10 + years wide ranging experience of leading and securing successful challenger bids

• 10+ years experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams and directing work to achieve quality project goals

• 10+ senior leader experience in a complex organisation

• 10+ years business management expertise

• Contract negotiation

• Undertaking tender in an office space and/or a virtual environment

Qualifications

• Graduate/post graduate degree

• Educated to degree level, preferably with a business, marketing or MBA qualification

• APMP/ Prince 2 qualified
