Business Development Executive (12 month FTC)

Purpose of the Role

To provide Business Development and Marketing support to the Professional Firms, Maritime, Energy, Mining and Renewable Energy sector groups as well as working as part of a wider BD and Marketing team consisting of sector specialists and a central marketing function. The Executive will manage a range of activities, events and campaigns, reporting on ROI and will be expected to proactively bring new ideas to the table. They will also work with sector leads to produce and manage strategic plans and budgets. We expect our Executives to be highly organised, enthusiastic, confident working with all levels (internally and externally) and an effective communicator.

About the areas of responsibility
Professional Firms (PF)
Our professional firms clients - lawyers, architects, surveyors, recruitment consultants among them - are experts in their fields and passionate about what they do. Our team of professional firm specialists have the knowledge and experience to deal with the compliance needs, international and UK accounting standards and SRA Account Rules, as well as general tax planning and financial management. Beyond these they provide their clients with business advisory support in growth, profit sharing, employee incentives, succession planning and mergers and acquisitions. Our professional firms group is a highly dynamic and organised collective, they move at a fast pace and value BD input.

The maritime sector is an increasingly complex sector, so it`s vital that we keep our clients abreast of new rules and regulations and their impact on businesses. We advise from accountancy through to corporate finance, strategic business advisory and restructuring & insolvency. Additionally our tax team are experienced in advising on the areas specific to this sector such as the analysis of a tonnage tax election and consequential tonnage tax compliance cycle. Clients include brokers, ship owners and managers and associated warehousing and logistics businesses.

Energy, Mining and Renewables (EMR)
Our newly EMR sector group was set up due to the surge of businesses recognising the opportunities for expansion due to rising consumer demand and increased ethical awareness. These business face many challenges including increasing competition and oversight from regulators. Our services to companies in the UK and internationally include audit, advice on capital allowances and R&D tax credits, financial due diligence and assistance with mergers & acquisitions.

Financial Services (Fintech)
As a sector, Financial Services is growing faster than many thought possible. The UK treasury estimates it is worth £20 billion to the economy. London is the biggest global centre for Fintech firms, with more employees - some 130,000 - than either Silicon Valley or New York. Working closely with the Tech and Media sectors, Fintech is a fast growing sector for the firm.Key Tasks and Responsibilities
-Overall ownership, delivery and management of sector strategic PD plans
-Monitoring, measuring, reporting and evaluating BD and Marketing activities
-Supporting teams in continuing to raise awareness of offerings internally and communicating support available to existing clients
-Working closely with the Client+ team to consolidate key client insight to help shape new and existing BD and marketing activity
-Managing production of case studies as necessary
-Leading sector BD and Marketing meetings including producing performance reports
-Managing sector databases on CRM system (Fibre) including providing targeting lists for activities
-Delivering sector campaigns
-Managing events (including webinars) alongside Events Executive
-Producing marketing content including insights, flyers and reports
-Researching BD opportunities, materials for proposals and content and collateral ideas
-Maintaining sector sections of the website
-Managing follow-up process post activities, including working with Head of Sales
-Supporting partners in managing their pipeline
-Assisting partners with proposal production, when necessary
-Leveraging social media to help build and maintain relationships with prospects
-Supporting Partners to build profiles (including Social Media, content creation and PR)
-Managing and building third party relationships including developing ideas for joint initiatives
-Supporting teams to develop relationships with other Moore UK firms and firms within the Moore Global international network
-Working with other members of Practice Development to provide a coordinated approach and share best practice and innovation
-Assisting with key Practice Development projects as required

Skills and Experience
-Strong Business Development knowledge
-Experience of working in a professional services firm, preferably an accountancy or law practice
-Enthusiastic mindset and willingness to learn
-Collaborative and team player minded
-Highly organised
-CRM knowledge
-Digital marketing skills especially social media
-Attention to detail
-Ability to prioritise activities and work well to tight deadlines
-Experience supporting new business proposals
-Confident working with all levels of professionals
-Experienced user of Microsoft Office software including Excel and Word
-Pipeline management and lead generation experience

-Previous experience of supporting relevant sector areas
-Events experience
-Good writing skills
-Experience using FAME or similar systems
