SHI has an opportunity available as a Public Sector Business Development Manager within the UK.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be targeted on winning new customers within the UK Public Sector by engaging with prospective customers on a daily basis, reacting to relevant published tender requirements and to proactively position SHI’s unique value propositions. As a Cloud Solution Provider, we want you to understand buying organization’s needs, and sell relevant Enterprise Software Licensing and Cloud services from partners such as Microsoft, AWS, VMWare, Veeam, Cisco, Citrix, HPE and Dell Technologies to name a few. Your role will be twofold, representing our core value of providing world class customer support and achieving monthly KPIs, all part of being a Public Sector sales professional.
This position will be reporting to our International Response Team Manager – UK and can either be based remotely, or at our Nexus Office in Barnsley.

Including but not limited to: Will search for potential customers to find new business opportunities within your designated vertical and territory to build spending portfolio of accounts Build in depth knowledge of aligned Public Sector Vertical and how technology is applied within the Education Market Build in depth knowledge of Public sector procurement processes, frameworks and guiding legislation Identify and engage decision makers and key stakeholders across portfolio customer organizations Review of all published tenders from designated vertical and territory and sales lead any bid/tender response with SHI bid team engagement Follow up with leads/potential business Complete customer IT profiles in CRM on a daily basis Follow up on marketing campaigns Exceed profit and revenue targets Book meetings for technical and software specialists Drive attendance to SHI hosted technology days Understand daily business needs leading to transformational project-based work Continue to develop business relationships that are built and continue to support and sell IT solutions
Qualifications University Degree or equivalent 3 years experience in a sales related role 3 years experience working with Public Sector customers
