Job Purpose

As a Business Development Representative you will be the first point of contact for new business; responsible for searching the market for opportunities that fit the range of services that Astound Commerce are able to offer.

The successful candidate must have experience in opening conversations with M & C level professionals within enterprise via phone, email, and in person.

What you will be doing:

  • Building a strong pipeline by contacting prospective clients via telephone, email, LinkedIn, partner introductions, events.
  • Booking meetings & creating opportunities with senior executives within large organisations for your sales and commercial directors.
  • Staying in touch with industry contacts, trends and upcoming events to make sure we don’t miss out on any opportunities.
  • Working with our marketing team to refine the messaging and approach.
  • Nurture relationships over long periods and build strong networks to help build new business opportunities.
  • What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years experience working within technology companies in sales as a BDR/SDR/BD with referenceable successes.
  • Be confident and comfortable reaching out to clients via the telephone and opening conversations in person.
  • Understand how to properly qualify leads into opportunities.
  • Desire to make a difference and seek professional development.
  • Have exceptional verbal and listening skills.
  • Understand complex processes.
  • Able to work with a wide variety of products, services and technologies.
