Carer Leader Location:The Elms, Stonehouse,Gloucestershire Salary: £11.00 Hours of work: 12 hours per week - Days The Orders of St John Care Trust is the 2nd largest not for profit care provider in the UK specialising in providing high quality, person centred care for older people, in care homes and extra care housing. As a charity, we ensure that any revenue goes straight back into our homes meaning our residents and staff are well looked after. The Elms is a 45 bed Nursing and residential home located with a short walk of the historical town of Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. It is also a short drive from Junction 12 of the M5. The Elms prides itself on excellent Nursing care delivered by an experienced and caring team with a strong team ethic. In addition to your contractual role, you will have an opportunity to become a lead in one of focus areas (such as end of life care, falls
prevention, pressure area care, infection control, medication). If you have a particular interest in any other aspect of looking after older people, we can support you with developing in that area. As a Care Leader you play an integral part of the care team, you will be responsible for leading, managing and supporting your care team ensuring they are providing high quality of care and service to all residents at all times. You'll play a key part with care delivery in the home, ensuring care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents care. You will take an active part in engaging with residents to understand their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences. Working within the Care team you will show warmth, compassion and support to our residents and their
families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care. As an important member of our team we will ensure you have all the training, support and tools required to be successful in your new role.
