What does a CTO at Airport Dimensions do? 
 
To meet our strategic and commercial goals Airport Dimensions is embarking on an expansion strategy underpinned by technology that will deliver a best-in-class experience for our customers, clients, partners, and employees. The CTO will lead, execute, and deliver the technology strategy, including all operational functions to ensure our rapid growth plans are met by a robust and flexible technology core. You will provide the technical vision, direction, and leadership, which supports overall product development and drives improvements, by closely linking product and engineering activities while ensuring commercial flexibility.

Direction

  • Working with the Airport Dimensions executive and the Group CIO, you will define the short and long-term technology strategy and establish and prioritise technology roadmaps, recommending a range of solutions for our lounges, using a blend of insourced, outsourced, on-shore, and off-shore resources to deliver a global technology service. 
  • You will negotiate and own the Airport Dimensions technology budget, optimizing our investment to provide an excellent experience for the passenger. 
  • Enablement

  • You will lead and manage the Airport Dimensions technology function ensuring the development and execution of the technology vision and strategy with the regional leadership teams, underpinning the growth strategy. 
  • You will oversee the development of the Technology Delivery and Operations teams that provide Digital services and platforms to the Airport Dimensions business and partners
  • You will identify, evaluate, and source, the technical components that drive business value and gain a competitive advantage leveraging a lean-based budgeting program.
  • You will support the development of lounge partner relationships with an approach to productization of core platforms, following legal group frameworks and policies.
  • You will develop data, reporting metrics, and insight capability to support our business, partners, and customer experiences.
  • Oversight  

  • Provide technical leadership, encouraging accountability and innovation.
  • You will manage the operating budget of the Technology team and monitor KPIs.
  • Establish governance over technology assets and investments to manage the levels of risk.
  • Deliver new technology solutions within the Technology Strategy and systems roadmap for the Airport Dimensions division collaborating with group functions.
  • Develop an internally collaborative, high-performance culture, delivering a customer-focused technology-based experience.
  • How will you make a difference as a CTO at Airport Dimensions?  

  • Applicants must have CTO or Senior Technology Leadership experience ideally gained within a Technology-focused enterprise with direct, outsourced, and captive offshore structures. 
  • Deep technical solutions design knowledge, blended with an aptitude for agile product development and business transformation experience.
  • You will have a passion for tackling complex problems and defining innovative solutions.
  • A natural problem-solver who can make recommendations at pace, using data and metrics to make informed business decisions.
  • A personable and professional leadership style that is customer-focused, and always strives to achieve a win-win scenario despite having to resolve conflict and make difficult decisions. 
  • You will guide the business on all Technology related matters, able to build cross-functional relationships with distributed technology teams.
  • Proficient in methods and techniques for the assessment and management of business risk.
  • Persuasive communication skills capable of establishing yourself as the lead subject matter expert targeting stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs on a global business scale.
  • Ability to make a sustainable business case demonstrating innovative features and technical benefits and take responsibility for and service delivery issues. 
  • Self-driven and constantly striving to improve Technology solutions by collaborating positively to deliver objectives and strategies. 
  • A Quantitative, Computer Science, or Postgraduate degree is preferred with a professional certificate such as CITP, MBCS, or FBCS.
  • This role offers flexible home working blended with ad-hoc travel into our London office.
