Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists

The Croydon Children's Speech and Language Service uses the Gascoigne Balanced System Model © and are we looking for 2 full time Band 5 therapists to join our team of Speech and Language therapists, Speech and Language Assistants and administrative support. We would welcome applicants who are both newly qualified or experienced.

Our team welcomes newly qualified therapists and has consistently provided a comprehensive induction package of support which includes opportunities for formal and informal training, Band 5 peer support sessions, reflective practice, individual line management and clinical supervision both from managers and experienced team members who have a wide range of clinical expertise. Second opinions, advice and training, both formal and informal are available from clinical leads in other specialisms.

The successful applicants will be enthusiastic about working in partnership with others, including education staff, to support early years and school aged children, young people and their families. You will have a defined caseload and a set number of schools which are in close proximity to an NHS clinic base. This will provide you with daily opportunities for close liaison with members of the SLT team working in the same geographical area as you. You will also have a dedicated session of admin per week in order to support your caseload management and planning.

Part time working requests will be considered, but you must be able to commit to working a minimum of 3 days per week.
