We are looking for a dynamic individual to join us working with children, young people and their families within the newly formed 0-18 multi-disciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in NHS Grampian. We are seeking individuals that share values that are important to us - striving for excellence, being respectful, kind, collaborative, efficient, forward thinking, patient centred and resilient - and those that embody these values in their day to day work.
We are currently implementing an exciting redesign which has formed an across the age range service, with geographically based teams. This 1.0wte post is based within the Aberdeen City CAMHS team. There are excellent opportunities for a wide range of clinical experience (1:1, family based and group); developing skills in multiple offered therapeutic modalities; contributing to departmental research and audit; and to be part of a service undergoing new developments. One to one, peer and multi-disciplinary supervision structures are in place to support professional reflection and growth. There is an active monthly CPD programme.
Experience of working collaboratively with other professional groups and partner agencies, demonstrable research and audit experience and previous experience of working autonomously within CAMHS will be an advantage.

NHS Grampian, which is one of the 10 principal Health Boards in Scotland, provides healthcare services to the north-east of the country, covering the local government areas administered by Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Morayshire Councils. We employ around 17,000 staff who deliver our services to half a million people spread across 3,000 square miles of city, town, village and rural communities. We have extremely close links to the University of Aberdeen (with its internationally renowned Medical School and Dental School) and Robert Gordon University. These close links have made us a centre of pioneering medical research in a number of fields.
Aberdeen, as a major Scottish city, is where most of our hospitals are located. Elgin in Moray, is the site of Dr Gray's and the principal General hospital is in the west of Grampian. In addition, there are a further 14 Community Hospitals, situated in each of the main towns.
As an employer, we take great care to ensure that all staff have a safe, happy and professional environment in which to work. Clear policies, covering everything from Dignity at Work to Leave for Domestic, Personal and Family reasons - as well as a comprehensive Occupational Health Service - give our staff confidence and security. We are a listening, caring and people focused organisation. As a diverse and welcoming employer our employment practices are both flexible and family-friendly. In our approach we aim to be innovative and professional. We are proud of our heritage, proud of our area, history and traditions, and proud of the service we provide to the people of North-East Scotland.
