SUBSTANTIVE CONSULTANT RADIOLOGIST

Applications are invited for a substantive post in a thriving Radiology department, joining a friendly and supportive team of consultants and staff at Croydon University Hospital.
We are looking for a dynamic radiologist seeking a challenging career in a busy London hospital caring for a varied population demographic. We are flexible regarding the subspecialty interest of the radiologist and would consider radiologists with an interest in chest, GI, paediatric, MSK or head and neck radiology. The role is for 10 programmed activities per week, at least 2 of which will be in your own specialist interest, 1 for on-call, and with a minimum of 1.5 support activities. Time will also be allocated for MDT attendance and preparation.
Croydon University Hospital is a large urban DGH situated in South London, serving the needs of a diverse population of 360,000. It has one of the busiest A & E departments in London and has affiliated teaching status with St George's Hospital Medical School and GKT School of Medicine. Croydon has easy access to both central London and the south coast. It also offers a huge range of social, leisure and shopping venues, with excellent transport links to both Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
The Diagnostic Imaging Department is well equipped with up-to-date equipment, including 1 open and 2 closed 1.5T MRI Scanners, 2 multi-slice CT scanners, a new interventional suite with adjacent day care facility and an updated Trust-wide PACS.
The department performs in excess of 250,000 examinations per annum and has an active Clinical Governance programme. There are currently approximately 68 WTE Staff in post in the Diagnostic Imaging department, including 14 Consultant Radiologists.
