Counterparty Risk - Market Risk OTC Specialist (VP)

Your field of responsibility

An outstanding opportunity to join us where you will be playing a key role in the set up and running of the new Counterparty Market Risk department within market risk, playing a key role in the development of this new important function. You will be defining and creating new metrics to manage and determine counterparty risk across products and asset classes.

Once created, new risk metrics will need to fit into a new risk management framework, with appropriate thresholds and appetites set by the bank to control counterparty activity within tolerances. You will play a key part helping to define this framework and once created to help set and monitor the risk appetite of the firm.

You will be joining a growing team focused on improving Credit Suisse’s risk capabilities following recent events. The environment is fast paced with tight internal and external delivery timeframes, visible at very senior levels of the organization. You will work closely with your colleagues in Market Risk, Credit Risk and Front Office. Your skills and experience

We are looking for:

  • Have proven experience in either a Front Facing Market Risk or a Front Office on the sell or buy side.
  • Specific product knowledge. Specifically Prime, Credit or Derivatives related knowledge would be a plus.
  • Proven understanding of Credit Counterparty and Hedge Fund specifically would be a plus.
  • Are organized and a self-starter that thrive in a position where you can challenge the status quo and manage implementation of new processes and way of looking at risk.
  • Coding experience is preferable.
