An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team at the 23 Hour / Day Surgery Unit.

We provide pre, intra and post-operative care to patients undergoing General Surgery, Urology, Dental, ENT, Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Vascular and Breast Surgery, acute surgical and trauma patients.

The Day Procedure Unit plays a vital role in education and training of nurses general, ODP’s and trainee anaesthetist in the speciality of day surgery. We understand that delivering an excellent learning environment for the staff is vital in maintaining staff growth, so the ethos of new learning and development is keenly supported. The teams are supported in the care giving processes through set protocols and guidelines many of which are being developed by the Day Procedure team.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team player with a keen interest in this speciality.
The post is permanent, full time and includes flexible working patterns both day and night shifts to suit the service needs.
Previous Day Surgery /23 hour experience is desirable although not essential.
