A design-led, central Edinburgh brand seeks an experienced Digital Marketing & Ecommerce Manager to join their talented and collaborative team. Busy B stationery is carefully designed with thoughtful ideas and gorgeous details to help busy women be the most they can be. Busy B celebrates how capable busy women are and are the natural destination for millions of women challenged by their endless to-do lists. Busy B sell their products directly to consumers via their website and Amazon alongside supplying well-known high street multiples such as John Lewis and Waterstones.
This is an exciting opportunity for a digital marketing manager with great commercial and ecom growth experience, who thrives in a team and has passion and drive in abundance, to play a key role in shaping the future success of Busy B online and growing both brand awareness and sales on BusyB.co.uk.

You will ideally be from an ecommerce background with a minimum of 5 years of experience driving website development acquisition and retention strategy with a focus on excellent user experience.
The strategic responsibilities are:
Setting direction / Driving development projects/ Supporting the digital marketing team/ Growing brand awareness and leading acquisition and retention strategies/ Driving BusyB.co.uk sales and website development and performance / Delivering excellent, consistent consumer experience delivering sales & sign-ups targets.
Responsible for BusyB.co.uk and growing revenue profitably to £1m over the next 4 years Structuring a clear plan for growth - Proactively identifying and assessing opportunities Responsible for delivering sales targets, controlling budget spend and overall profitability of the channel Analysis of customer and performance data and looking at new ways to improve key metrics Responsible for excellent user experience across all touchpoints Responsible for performance and smooth operation of consumer and trade websites Manage all service and delivery processes for UK and export markets e.g., payment and delivery options, packaging, integrating systems, and warehouse Lead and manage the consumer retention strategy – Set out tactics & support the execution, working with external consultants where required Driving an increase in purchase frequency and AOV Manage all SEO and Paid Ad activity Lead the development of the CRM system and supporting the execution of targeted email campaigns Plan and develop a Busy B community Oversee all aspects of customer service and delivery and ensure brand standards are clear: on social, website, phone, etc
Grow email sign-ups on BusyB.co.uk to 120,000 Lead and manage the consumer acquisition strategy Responsible for agreeing and delivering sign ups annually Managing SEO and Paid Ad activity and monitoring ROAS Develop online PR strategy and ‘Kerri’ persona Work with external consultants and agencies where required
Responsible for consistent brand experience across all marketing and sales channels Drive a consistent brand feel across each Busy B marketing channel – web, social, email Work with each channel lead to maximise market positioning for the brand to help drive sales growth to £5m by 2025 (e.g., BusyB.co.uk, Amazon, key accounts, independents, etc) Provide support and Input where useful into Amazon marketing activity - listings and AMS Input into on and offline content for trade marketing e.g catalogue, trade stand, trade website, trade video Responsible for all consumer marketing materials, leaflets, free gifts, etc
Leadership Provide direction, decision making, support, and encouragement to the marketing team day-to-day Set objectives and KPI’s and manage performance Support the planning and execution of all seasonal marketing activity to deliver business objectives
Operational/responsibilities Work with the digital agency on website developments - Driving projects and resolving issues Work with the Warehouse, on new initiatives and ensure they are updated on all website/marketing plans Work with Product manager on joint initiatives and drive new projects, maintain awareness of new product development and critical path Responsible for setting dept budgets and controlling spend Complete weekly reports tracking KPI’s, sales, and budgets Attend relevant management meetings and report on performance and initiatives
The ideal candidate for the Digital Marketing & Ecommerce Manager role will be: A forward-looking, commercial thinker with creative flair and a vision for the future potential of the brand Experience of marketing to different sales channels ideal eg high street, own brand web site, marketplaces A mentor and go-to person for the digital marketing team who is supportive and approachable Great communication skills with the ability to give clear direction and inspire and encourage others A positive go-to person with a can-do (and will-do) attitude Proven track record of growing brand awareness and creating successful initiatives to drive sales Ability to use own initiative and think creatively and innovatively to deliver results Takes ownership, is pro-active, organised, and in control, gives others confidence Ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive projects and is comfortable with teamwork Able to multi-task across different projects and tasks and thrives in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication As a key member of the senior team is able to input commercially into the overall strategy Proven technical ability to manage the back end of websites and ECRM’s Proven ability to guide a brand as it grows A genuine passion for the brand and for stationery
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
Experience of working with different sales channels to market, in particular Amazon, would be an advantage
Experience of Magento 2, CRM systems, NetSuite
