Job Description

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join two incredible hospices and a successful fundraising team working for Cornwall.

About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to lead our Community and Events Team.

This is an exciting time to join Cornwall Hospice Care as we adapt to the changing fundraising environment. Focusing on sustainable development, this role is viewed as integral to the success of the team and will, manage, develop and lead Cornwall Hospice Care’s events and community products and team.

The role manages our Community Fundraisers, our Events Fundraiser, our Tribute Fundraiser and our Fundraising Groups Co-ordinator. There is significant opportunity to develop our products, improve fundraiser experience and satisfaction levels, build retention rates as well as the opportunity to develop new products.

Primarily based at our Income Generation Offices in St Austell, the successful candidate should expect to spend time at both Hospice locations in St Austell and Hayle, as well as frequent travel throughout Cornwall.

About you:

You are an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively and independently, able to implement event and community strategies to meet net income targets.

You are an experienced manager, confident at leading a committed and focused team, and excel at managing event and community programmes.

You will have experience at managing event companies and promotional agencies, with a track record for creativity and innovation, developing new and exciting event and/or community products.

You are solution focused and results driven, used to a target based environment. You’ll have an analytical approach to assessing fundraising events for ROI and growth potential, able to see where investment is needed and the bigger picture. You are a passionate fundraiser used to maximising the potential of your supporter profile.
