Job Description

Inovus Limited has an opportunity for Finance Assistant to join the team based in St Helens. You will join us on part time, permanent basis working 3 days a week and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £11,000 - £15,000 per annum (FTE £18k to £25k).

Established in 2012, Innovus Medical is a vertically integrated company with proprietary products, processes and an established brand in the healthcare simulation market. The Company manufactures a range of personal and institutional laparoscopic simulators which address the growing need for more personal, accessible and affordable surgical training. The Company has a proven ability to identify and solve unmet needs in healthcare simulation by manufacturing affordable products.

As our Finance Assistant you will be responsible for financial transactions accounting, reporting and support to the Directors on matters financial generally plus general office duties as required.

Key responsibilities of our Finance Assistant:

- Undertake general office duties in tandem with the accounts function as befits a growing SME whilst it scales up in the delivery its Business Plan
- To undertake and manage the processing of accounting transactions within Xero, the Company’s financial accounting system.
- Administer the preparation of sales invoicing, processing of purchase invoices, cash book accounting, expense claims accounting, etc, as required
- Undertake regular bank account and ledger reconciliations with external statements so as to ensure the books of account are up to date and reconciled at all times
- Administer expenses and petty cash accounting
- Supply the external payroll bureau with timesheet, new starters, leavers, pensions changes, etc, on a timely basis so as to ensure the payroll is processed accurately at each month. - Liaise with suppliers, customers and other third parties as required, including undertaking credit control activities
- Take control of the weekly cash flow forecasting model and, working with the Finance Director ensure this is up to date and maintained at all times

What we’re looking for in our Finance Assistant:

- Accounting experience essential and must have worked in a Finance role previously
- Must have had experience of working in an SME environment and be flexible
- Experience of working with proprietary accounting systems
- Experience of Microsoft Excel & Word
- Experience of meeting demanding deadlines
- Mature, self motivated, dynamic, “hands on” and a team player, as will be involved in various company-wide projects
- Friendly, good telephone manner, professional work ethic, eager to learn and progress
- Smart, professional appearance
- Non smoker
