The company is a successful growing Carpentry and Joinery company serving high profile, top tier construction and housebuilding clients. Due to continued expansion and increased workload an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant.
Responsibilities: • Sales ledger • Purchase ledger, including month end BACS run • Recording bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations • Credit card analysis and reconciliation • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly VAT return/ CIS return • Annual HMRC tax compliance returns and other regular external compliance reports • Fixed Asset register and maintenance • Assisting in the preparation of month end management accounts • Petty Cash • Assisting in the year end process • Filing • Ad-hoc analysis and duties as required
Skills & Experience: • Previous accounts experience of 2+ years (required) • AAT qualified or currently studying • Ability to establish good working relationships across the business at all levels • Willing to assist in other areas • IT literacy with excellent Microsoft Excel skills • Previous experience of SAGE an advantage • Good analytical skills • Excellent organisational skills • Strong attention to detail • Proactive and able to work on your own initiative • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines • Good communication skills (written and verbal) • Keen and happy to work as part of a team • Discrete and trustworthy
