Job Description

Spire Healthcare is a leading independent hospital group that has been putting patients at the heart of everything we do for over 40 years. We have 39 hospitals, 10 clinics and a Specialist Cancer Care Centre across England, Wales and Scotland.

Reporting to the Group Risk Officer, you will be responsible for promoting best practice at a number of our hospitals to highlight and educate our hospital teams on the best ways to manage risk across clinical and non-clinical teams.



Duties and responsibilities

  • Providing risk management expertise and guidance (within a clear framework) that connects hospital, strategic and operational risk management, quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement with overall hospital governance
  • Working in partnership with a number of teams (Clinical Governance, Health & Safety etc.) to ensure that the strategy is delivered to ensure risks are identified and managed consistently across the Group
  • Working closely with corporate teams to ensure internal assurance processes (CQC inspections etc.)
  • Training in Risk Management and the Datix Risk Register module, support and ad-hoc reporting requirements


Who we're looking for

  • Experience of risk assurance in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of Datix Risk Register module and associated modules
  • Ability to work autonomously across numerous sites
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills are essential
