Domus have an incredibly exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance & Regulation (Children's Services) to join a national provider of Special Needs Education, for this brand-new role.
This new role will lead the regulatory, compliance and assurance across the group's wide Children's portfolio, across the UK.
The post, established to provide professional regulatory leadership to the group will manage the compliance and regulation function for children's care and education services nationally.
Reporting to the group Compliance and Regulation Director and working with a team of compliance & regulation managers, you will lead the compliance and assurance programme on behalf of the Board & Executive.
Working closely with colleagues in operations, a key priority will be to establish and maintain strong relationships with all relevant external regulators and to provide expert advice and assistance in all care and education related regulatory matters across Children's services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementing and managing of quality assurance, inspection and audit practices to provide assurance of the on-going quality and safety of all Children's services. • Be an expert voice on innovative, best practice in Children's care and education. • Share best practice to enhance the reputation of the organisation as a high quality provider of care, education and support to Children and young people across the range of services. • Establish strong relationships with all regulators and enhance the quality of all communications with regulatory bodies including; responding to inspection findings, supporting registration activity, supporting or undertaking safeguarding investigations when appropriate. • Develop strategic partnerships with national organisations representing the ?voice' of the child and young people. To develop research and innovation proposals that encourage a strong culture of learning. • Support the timely and robust investigation and response to concerns or complaints. Participate in any serious case reviews and, on behalf of the Board ensure that learning is embedded across the organisation from investigation and reviews. • Support the business and commercial development of innovative new models of care. • Working with independent visitors, advocates and statutory services to enhance the voice of the Child in all of the organisation's activities. • Advise on the processes and procedures that ensure the safety and welfare of all Children served by the Company. To champion strong and effective safeguarding practice across the group. • Work closely with operational teams and support senior managers and the Executive to drive continual quality improvement within the Company and to provide ongoing support and monitoring to ensure compliance and improvement against regulation and good practice guidance • Develop and implement national and local strategies and operational plans, for increasing and enhancing a performance culture across Children's services that delivers robust evidence based best practice • Provide the Compliance & Regulation Director with regular service reports on progress with improving standards and compliance, learning from practice, child protection and child safeguarding concerns and to analyse quality assurance patterns and trends across all services • Urgently advise the Compliance & Regulation Director of any emergency child safeguarding issues and support the Managing Director in the investigation and embedding all learning from all Child safeguarding incidents. • Promote the corporate quality assurance agenda and oversee assessments of internal compliance ensuring that Operational Managers are advised of emerging concerns within services. • Communicate the group's vision and values clearly in all aspects of the role including with national stakeholders, commissioners and policy makers • Attendance as required by the Director Compliance & Regulation, at national forums/events in order to promote learning and adoption of best practice service and quality models across Children's services • Develop a business culture based on quality that will deliver successful commercial outcomes which position the group as a leading Industry Provider of services for Children with complex needs • Support the development of the strategic ambitions for the group in relation to national and international opportunities.
