Healthcare Assistant | HCA | Theatres | Band 2 plus excellent benefits | Hull | 37.5 Hours, Permanent

Spire Hull has an opportunity for an experienced Health Care Assistant to join our team in Theatres. Our Theatre Teams are a key department for patients coming into the Hospital to utilise our wide range of treatments and surgical procedures we offer. This is a full time role, working three long days per week on a rota basis between the hours of 7am and 9pm.

Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital is based in Anlaby, near Humber Bridge and the hospital provides care for patients across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. Our hospital offers a range of services and procedures including orthopaedic, general surgery, weight loss surgery, eye surgery and cosmetic surgery. Other services include, radiology - MRI and CT and physiotherapy. Duties and responsibilities:

  • In this fast-paced role, you will be required to assist our Clinical team in providing exemplary Care within the Theatre department, whilst providing Healthcare Assistance to our Nursing team.
  • As a HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient’s health and well-being.
  • You will move and set up diagnostic equipment (after training) and other resources, as well as applying technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.

Who we're looking for:

  • HCA experience and either experience in or a keen desire to work in Theatres
  • Must be accurate and have excellent attention to detail.
  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care or equivalent
