An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Heart Assessment Team for 37.5 hours per week for a motivated individual with a minimum of two years recent Cardiology experience.

You will assist with the development and implementation of all areas of an on-going evidence based programme of care for cardiac patients focusing upon their heart failure and cardiac rehabilitation needs. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work well within a multi-disciplinary setting. As you will be involved in running Nurse Led Cardiac Clinics, there will be a need to undertake Independent and Supplementary Nurse Prescribing and Physical Assessments and it will be essential to undertake the Independent/Supplementary Nurse Prescribing Course and the Physical Assessment Course.

You will need to show commitment and direction to the team as a whole and will actively participate in the teaching, training, support and supervision of all grades of staff including nurses, administrative staff and other health professional students. You will be required to be receptive to change, dynamic and demonstrate active assistance and support to your Team Manager in the on-going development of the department and service as a whole.

The successful candidate must be a car driver and hold a valid driving licence as the role may involve cross-site covering The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, Community Clinics and Home Visits. The base for this vacancy is The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
