A very exciting new opportunity has arisen to join Bromley CAMHS at a time of expansion and development. We are seeking to increase the clinical expertise to support a whole service improvement to the patient journey. This post will ensure an increase in experienced clinicians and a stronger career pathway within the team to help staff retention. We seek to appoint a Highly Specialist Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to provide a child and adolescent psychotherapy service to children, young people and their families referred to specialist CAMHS in Bromley. The post holder will work within a vibrant, highly specialised multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for a senior colleague to make a contribution to the continued development and improvement of clinical services.

You will be a qualified and experienced Child Psychotherapist with a minimum of three years post qualifying experience and be a full member of the ACP, and be appointable to Band 8a under Agenda for Change. You require experience of working within a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team and providing a range of therapeutic skills.

You will provide psychotherapy assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team and manage a complex caseload. You will need to have experience of supervision as the post also involves clinical supervision of trainees as well as Band 7 Psychologists and occasionally other multi-disciplinary colleagues.

Bromley CAMHS embraces CYP-IAPT principles. The post holder will be expected to support and assist the core aims within the service both in direct clinical work and as a positive member of the multi-disciplinary team and wider service.

Bromley CAMHS is a friendly, busy and thriving CYP IAPT service, regarded as an accessible and effective service. Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health, learning disabilities and community services to the London Boroughs of Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich. The Trust has recently been rated as Good by the CQC and has a culture of supporting staff whilst providing excellent services within a robust clinical governance framework. Child Psychotherapy is valued and well established in the service with other child psychotherapists, including trainees. Dr Linda Pae is the Consultant Child Psychotherapist and Lead Clinician for the Generic team at Bromley CAMHS.
