Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our HR Operations Department.

Wesleyan’s Head Office is based in the heart of Birmingham and has more than 1000 employees working across a variety of business units. We offer a friendly, open environment where employees are encouraged to make a difference across all functions, which include Group People & Strategy, Group Finance, Group Operations, Group Risk & Regulatory, Group Sales & Marketing, Practice Plan and Wesleyan Bank.

Outside of Head Office is our award-winning Field Team consisting of 300+ Financial Consultants who provide specialist advice to doctors, dentists, teachers and lawyers and are based around the UK.

Working as part of the HR Operations team, reporting to the Head of HR Operations, you will be adept at operating at a senior stakeholder level, partnering with functional areas, so that people related requirements are understood, delivered and are fully integrated as part of functional business strategies.

You will be required to lead a strong transformation and evolution agenda throughout the business and we are therefore seeking an experienced HR professional who can demonstrate establishing relationships quickly and getting to the route of business issues to add real value.

You will assist in the development of a HR operating plan that provides all elements of people related deliverables. This will include supporting people related change, employee engagement and creating sustainable change. You will ensure that key people processes are effectively managed within business areas by coaching and developing managers, equipping them to be able to successfully deal with issues.

Using HR Analytics to provide insights into functional areas, you will be key in influencing the delivery of the people agenda, whilst monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of the delivery.

You will protect the employee brand whilst ensuring people issues are dealt with in line with our brand values. You will promote a culture that embraces continuous improvement throughout the organisation, and within HR, you will review processes and practices so that best practice is achieved, and improvements are made.

Finally, you will have experience of successfully partnering at a senior stakeholder level and supporting organisational culture change and restructures. You will have the ability to drive and develop effective people plans, both on a long and short-term basis.

Ideally you will have experience of working within Financial Services, however, this is not essential, and you will be a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or equivalent.
