Overall Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to develop and provide technical management of the Human Resources application.
The job holder will be the domain expert and as such has responsibility for the service overall, working closely with the product supplier, implementation partner and product business owner. The job holder will work with IT Architecture and Infrastructure teams, IT Operational teams and Business teams to ensure optimal use of the service and its continued relevance to the business.
The job holder will be expected to maintain product relevance within our business and drive the use of the application.
The job holder may on occasion be required to provide support to other applications managed by the team.

Accountabilities

Delivery and implementation of solutions to meet business needs, working closely with business representatives to understand and document requirements, create technical specifications, configure applications and support test and implementation
Continuous improvement and innovation in respect of the applications supported
Maintenance of the Service Catalogue, design architecture, governance and best practice documentation and support processes.
Daily monitoring and reporting.
Responsibility for service issues and management as the UK SME; security, capacity, patching etc. with a tie in to service desk, incident management and associated technical teams
Provide technical and business advice through training, knowledge sharing and service promotion.
Driving personal development and keeping abreast of product and industry developments
Work with Geographically dispersed specialist teams.

Skills Required

Essential

Extensive relevant experience working in relevant disciplines
An inquisitive and engaging personality that looks to innovate and continuously improve to deliver the best possible experience to the customer
Ability to prioritise and work under pressure while taking ownership of issues
Experience of working across technology disciplines in order to deliver the best outcomes
Ability to work standalone or as part of a team
Experience working in a project environment with strict deadlines.
Understanding of ITIL processes – Incident, problem and change and a good knowledge of IT Operations
Flexible and reactive

Desirable

Knowledge and/or experience with human resource and payroll systems, terminology, and best practices
Knowledge and/or experience with system administration
Knowledge and/or experience with complementary systems such as identity management
Knowledge and/or experience with performing audits and access reviews
Knowledge and/or experience with SQL and/or scripting/development (such as PowerShell, Java, Javascript, or .NET)
Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors
Familiarity with Service-Now
