Croydon
£78,625 - £85,000 per annum

Job Description

Hello, we’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect the futures of millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Our members rely on us to look after their pensions if their employers go bust and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.

We now have an opportunity for an Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist to join our team on a 12 Month FTC basis to support our IT Transformation Strategy.

The Role

Acting as the specialist within the architectural and technical domain, you will manage a company-wide infrastructure migration. This is a vital position within the organisation so you will need to have a high degree of competency across a broad range of technologies.

You will work with technical teams to find solutions and identify key dependencies as well as their relationship to the migration sequence. Additionally, you will support the IT Director in managing department risks.

Our Requirements

We are looking for an IT professional with previous experience in migrating solutions to/from an MSP around the complete architectural stack. You will have an aptitude for identifying requirements and the ability to produce good quality design documents.

Interested applicants will have an appetite for complex analysis and problem-solving along with skills in the following: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft App-V, DFS (Distributed File System), FortiGate, XenApp, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Azure, Microsoft IIS, NetBackup, Dell Storage, Hyper-V, Microsoft SCCM, AWS, IronPort and NetScaler

This position will provide you with an opportunity to greatly influence our strategic direction within the technology function and help us to deliver an exceptional service that is fit for purpose. We can also offer you the chance to cement existing skills as well as learn new skills in a dynamic environment within a rapidly growing financial services organisation.

Sound like you? Apply now!

This is a really exciting time for us - we’ve got big plans for 2019, and beyond, and we’d love you to join us.

We are also an Equal Opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

No agencies, please.
