Job Description

Do you want to work for an award-winning charity?

Could you teach adults with learning disabilities essential life skills?

You'll be working as a Learning Support Worker, supporting people to learn a whole range of life skills, to help them develop and grow. Perhaps you're a good cook, happy to pass on your abilities. Maybe you'd like to coach people into work experience or paid employment. Or bring your own skills, interests and hobbies to the table and pass them on!

We have full-time or part-time Learning Support Worker opportunities in the Kennington area. All are day-time roles with core hours between 9.00am and 4.00pm, though some flexibility may be required at times depending on the activity you are undertaking.

There could also be some evening/weekend also depending on the people we support. The current part time opportunities will be discussed further at interview but let us know your preference on your application form. You can call Penny Canwell on Tel: Apply Now >> to talk about your current situation and how that could work for MacIntyre.

Although we welcome people who have worked as Healthcare worker, Teaching Assistants or similar, you don't need experience, as we provide full free training. There is also some personal care involved with these positions.

It is also essential you have a full driving licence.

Who are we?

MacIntyre is an award-winning national charity supporting people with learning disabilities. We use person centred approaches to keep the people we support safe, happy and healthy and to ensure each individual is able to live a life that makes sense to them. Pay and Rewards

MacIntyre provides a full induction and ongoing training, including the opportunity to gain nationally accredited vocational qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits which includes:

6.6 weeks (including statutory public holidays) rising with service to a maximum of 7.6 weeks (including statutory public holidays) after 5 years (pro rata for part time staff)
Workplace pension scheme
MacIntyre Perks which offers up to 6% discount off leading retailers including Tesco, Curry/PC World, Costa and many more
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support your health and wellbeing
MacIntyre Staff Savings Scheme
Cashplan which provides money back on core health treatments such as: optical, dental, physiotherapy, chiropody
MacIntyre Rewards Scheme
MacIntyre pays for your DBS check

Part-time positions are pro rata.
