Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides services through its three hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester. We provide all general hospital services for planned and emergency care as well as specialist services.

Our Respiratory Medicine team are looking to recruit a full time Locum Consultant in Respiratory and General medicine, to join seven existing consultants providing quality care in the field of thoracic medicine. Each of the existing consultants has a strong general Respiratory background with sub specialty interests in lung cancer, mesothelioma, sleep disordered breathing, non-invasive ventilation, pulmonary physiology, interstitial lung disease, medical thoracoscopy, EBUS, COPD and asthma. Both Winchester and Basingstoke sides are supported by a visiting Thoracic surgeon.

This is a replacement appointment to the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is identified as an important appointment. You will be joining a department that is working towards establishing ambulatory care services and a commitment to support you in your speciality interests. The successful candidate will enhance an already existing successful track record of service delivery, which has an enviable reputation for good quality patient care as well as the determination to build upon this through innovative service development. As well as forming part of the Consultant team the post holder will also work closely alongside our clinical specialist nurse team in the provision of some services.
