Job Description

As the Marketplace Operations Analyst, you are responsible for leading the operations within the UKs native Marketplace; our black cab driver community.

You’ll use all our marketplace tools to engage our riders and drivers while delivering best-in-class service and reliability. You’ll analyze, recommend actions and impact the UK Black Cabs marketplace, work closely together with the product team and UK supply team to ensure we have the right supply at the right times, drivers are engaged, and reliability for b2c and b2b are optimized to ensure customer loyalty and ridership.

  • Improve data quality and ingestion; identify root cause of data issues and provide resolution ensuring accuracy and trust in everything we build.
  • Day-to-day operational reporting and data visualisation. Reports should be statistically rigorous and compellingly relevant; providing insight into program health and recommending action plans.
  • Conduct deep-dives and apply data science techniques to gain a better understanding of the problems we face, recommend actions and build tools which enable business users to be proactive.
  • Develop models for evaluation and implementation of new strategies with business stakeholders such as analysing impact of marketing activities and providing directions for growth.
  • Manage and execute analytical projects from start to finish including data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Evaluation of product performance and strategy by evaluating features and contributing with ideas to our product roadmap.

  • Technical skills

  • Advanced hands-on knowledge and experience of data manipulation using SQL, and Excel
  • Proven problem solving skills, project management, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • Familiar with data science techniques - Advantage
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python- Advantage
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI, or another visualisation tool (Microstrategy, Qlik, Tableau)

    Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analysis role
  • Preferably a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics or Business.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate key insights from complex analyses into actionable business insights
  • Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a pragmatic approach to getting things done
  • Project management - demonstrated full ownership of managing and implementing both technical and non-technical projects.
