A well respected engineering organisation is currently looking to recruit a Mental Health Lead to support the delivery of my clients Mental Health Strategy. The role will act as the business interface between different sites, SHE management and external suppliers of mental health services. It includes the delivery of projects relating to mental health in accordance with deadlines and will involve managing change processes ensuring strategic sustainability.
The role is based in the Preston/ Blackburn area and is for an initial 2 Year duration. There is a rate of £33Ltd Per Hour on offer for the successful candidate. Please find the descriptions below:
The principle accountabilities include being able to: * Plan and deliver the programme of mental health initiatives across Air sector, in accordance with the Mental Health strategy * Act as a point of contact for mental health issues for internal stakeholders and external consultants * Manage data that indicates the status of mental health in the employee population * Evaluate performance of the mental health programme and track improvements * Support mental health action planning for local departments, functions and high risk areas in the business * Make recommendations to Air in order to inform future strategic enhancement * Raise awareness of mental health issues across Air through arranging and supporting events such as Mental Health week. * Be a point of contact for co-ordinating mental health initiatives in Air e.g. Mental Health First Aider programme * Liaise, consult and influence SHE, Occupational Health, HR, D&I and other internal departments and stakeholders * Identify communications opportunities and promote mental health in the workplace via the communications channels * Present to an audience with confidence and knowledgeably on mental health topics
The Individual * Qualification in a mental health/wellbeing subject to degree level, post-grad or equivalent e.g. CIPD; Mental Health or OH Specialist practitioner, NVQ Level 5. * Experience of managing and delivering mental health programmes and awareness initiatives in a large organisation, across multiple sites and with a complex management structure * Current knowledge of mental health best practice * Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and influencing capability * An organised and methodical approach to work, with project management skills desirable * Self-motivated - able to work on own and as part of a team when necessary
