Job Description

Location: Hobart, Tasmania

Base Salary: $63468 - $86857 (£33672 - £46081 Sterling)

Description: This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses (RMN) to embark on a once in a lifetime opportunity on the beautiful Island of Tasmania.

Tasmania offers a relaxed lifestyle, a variety of career opportunities and a real sense of community. This makes balancing work, family life and recreation easy.

We are recruiting mental health professionals now for an exciting expansion and redesign of mental health services in the Hobart region, to be operationalised from July 2020 onwards. As a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) there are opportunities to work in a range of environments including our new integrated care hubs, providing a one-stop shop with short-stay community crisis beds and Safe Haven café and Recovery College inspired services. Additionally, there are opportunities in acute adult inpatient services, our new Mental Health Short Stay Unit and adult community services in both crisis and continuing care work.

Tasmania is a remarkably liveable Island with short commute times and a world class urban environment. You are never more than ten minutes away from a breath-taking coastline, national park or award-winning restaurant/bar. 47% of Tasmania’s land surface remains permanently preserved in World Heritage Areas, National Parks and reserves.

The Tasmanian Government welcomes skilled migrants who wish to live and work in Tasmania on an ongoing basis through the Visa State Nomination program. Successful applicants may be eligible for consideration of a subclass 190 visa state nomination (permanent residency).

Person Specification: You must have current NMC registration.

Benefits: There are multiple benefits for Mental Health Nurses including generous unsocial hours allowances, post-graduate allowances of up to 7.5% of base wage, 17.5% annual leave loading, Accrued Days Off (ADOs), and access to salary packaging for tax free income, meals and vehicle expenses.
