We are recruiting to a Newly qualified Social Worker post

* Maternity Cover 12 Months fixed term contract

* Salary: £30,179 depending on experience, per annum, pro rata

* Part Time Hours: 22.50 hours per week

A rare opportunity has arisen within the Social Work Team to work across the LD/ASD Division at St Andrew’s Healthcare.

The ASD/LD division provides medium secure, low secure and rehabilitation settings for men and women with a Learning disability and/or Autism and complex mental health needs. We offer a full community focused pathway and work in the least restrictive way to support positive outcomes for our patients as individuals.

Your role with us
The work offers the opportunity to see complex patients through to successful discharge. Regular supervision is provided and opportunities for development both in social work and other related practice issues are provided and encouraged. You will be registered with the Social Work England and there will be opportunities for training to ensure re-registration.

You should be in receipt of the Diploma in Social Work or equivalent and have experience with Mental Health Legislation including the Care Programme Approach. A good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act and the SafeGuarding processes under the Care Act 2014 will be required.

The post is open to qualified and newly qualified Social Workers & the salary offered will reflect any post-qualification experience and skills.
