Position at GroupM Role Summary:
This strategic Regional People Lead is a critical member of the GroupM Services (GMS) regional leadership team, as well as the GroupM EMEA People leadership team. This is a complex matrixed role, with direct reporting lines to the GroupM EMEA Chief People Officer (or designate), and dotted lines to both the Global Executive Director - People for GMS and to the Regional GMS leadership team. In this role you will partner with the regional leadership team of GMS and jointly set the people strategy for employees across 39 countries in the region. You will manage and collaborate with a global team of HRBPs and specialists in order to develop and support the growth of the organization. You will represent the voice of the EMEA GMS team to all Global/Regional Centres of Value and ensure their needs are addressed.
You will serve as the trusted advisor and coach for the GMS leadership team and spearhead the people strategy tied to the employee value proposition and GMS business objectives. You will partner with regional/global Centres of Value to build and deliver ambitious and disruptive talent plans, which includes robust succession planning to future proof the business, and assist in the development of exciting, accelerated career paths for people development. You will support the DE&I efforts across the region to create an inclusive culture where each employee feels valued for their uniqueness.
You will guide management in its efforts to build high performing teams, coaching line managers to create an agile and focused performance culture and fulfilling employee experiences. You will partner with the Global/Regional L&D COV to drive a continuous learning culture throughout the organisation, ensuring employees have access to experiences and learning content that fuels constant growth in their capabilities and our business performance. Key responsibilities: Being a partner and advisor to Regional leaderships teams and senior management members across GMS Own, lead and implement the People strategy for the GMS workforce in line with the global People and specific regional strategies Drive the expansion and development of the organization and leadership teams as we continue to grow GSM Leverage and manage People team resources within the EMEA region, with the objective of delivering the People agenda that supports the business needs Drive execution of People initiatives across regions and countries in collaboration with regional and local People Partners and Centres of Value. Work closely and effectively with People team members within EMEA and with cross-border People colleagues in NA, LATAM, and APAC to identify best practices Be a builder of the GroupM culture, ensuring that the people initiatives, solutions, and programs are reflective of the values of the global organization. The Regional People Lead has thorough cross-functional knowledge of the latest developments within the field of People management and should be a modern People leader with a track record of working in a highly complex, matrixed, global technology-driven and innovative business environment. This role requires someone with strong influencing skills who is empathic and connects easily with other people. It is crucial this person has experience managing a diverse global population.
Moreover, you have the following qualifications: Relevant progressive working experience from operational to strategic People consulting, business partnering and/or management roles, from local to regional or global scope Preferably experience and affinity with Media, IT, Data and/or Technology companies Professional HR qualifications are beneficial but not essential. Proven success in driving execution in a global matrixed environment is critical Possess knowledge and ability to ensure all actions are in compliance with appropriate employment laws, company policies and sound business practice Strong, impactful leadership and coaching skills Fluency in written and verbal English. Due to the international character of the organisation there will be some travelling required for this role
