Pharmacy Technician | Pharmacy | Salary dependent on experience | Montefiore/Hove | Full Time, No Nights.
The Montefiore Hospital is a private hospital in Hove, part of the English coastal city of Brighton and Hove. It opened in November 2012 and is operated by Spire Healthcare, the second largest provider of private healthcare in the United Kingdom.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To participate in ward services and day to day running of the pharmacy
- To carry out medicines reconciliation on the ward
- To help drive forward medicines management initiatives around the hospital
- To have an involvement in the training and education of hospital staff in medicines management
- To participate in audits
- To help support the delivery of the chemotherapy pharmacy service to patients through involvement in dispensing supportive medicines and ordering treatment doses in from Baxter and processing necessary paperwork. (Necessary training will be provided)
- To provide outstanding patient care
Who we're looking for:
- B. Tech National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, City & Guilds of London Institute – Dispensing Technicians Certificate, Scottish/National Vocational Qualifications (S/NVQ) level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent
- Experience of working in a pharmaceutical department
- Competent in a range of pharmaceutical activities with theoretical knowledge acquired during qualification
