Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and techniques to the development of state-of-the-art cooling systems for semiconductor process tools, and to resolve related technical problems on the forefront of new technologies. Interfaces with all relevant personnel to ensure successful completion of new system development activities.
Responsibilities: Lead Designer for New Product and Technology Introduction for Semiconductor Cryogenic Solutions Work on Product Feasibility with in-house teams of Material Scientists and Application Specialists Analyzes, evaluates, and plans method of approach and organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems Guide teams to build and evaluate Prototypes to fulfill User and System Requirements. Exercise Design Making Authority on choice of Prototype for Final Design and Verification Guide Technical Staff on statistical process control techniques to evaluate the reliability of the product. Review test data with Test Engineering during testing and from production, document thoroughly and make recommendations as applicable Publish Technical Bulletins and Publications Participate in Annual Conferences in the areas of cryogenics and refrigeration Responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting project tasks based on assessment of basic parametric design constraints Establishes and defines the theoretical basis and principles which should apply and determines time, expense and staffing needed for successful project completion Screen new or redesign product proposals for engineering feasibility and establish rough estimate costing
Requirements: Requires a BS or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering 10-15 years of related experience with proven, consistent record of accomplishments in advanced cooling system product development, and relevant project management skills. Solid knowledge of thermodynamic systems, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, controls and instrumentation as applied to advanced cooling system development Strong project management skills essential along with liason and understanding of customer requirements to ensure product meets customer deadlines, reliability and safety expectations
Job Scope: This job will be based out of Chelmsford Mass / Haverhill Mass The job requires strong communication skills with a wide range of audience including Customers and Internal Stakeholders outside and within R&D Team The work entails focus on Technical Risk Management as well as Planning and Guidance on Critical Technical Tasks Money Measures – an annual budget or revenue which this role is directly responsible for, or the percentage of their operational/departmental budget/revenue target this role will manage The role has direct accountability for success of NPI Programs. These programs can offer significant value to the business The role will need a strong collaborator who works with R&D Leadership as well as Product Management and Manufacturing
