The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle for various Payroll and HR products. You will become specialists within the Payroll and HR arena and will build key relationships with relevant third parties so that they become aware of the changing requirements as well as keeping abreast of legislation. You will be responsible for building up user groups to participate in beta and early adopter programs.
Acting as the mini CEO of your products, you will also be responsible for investigating additional opportunities within the SME market, identifying potential third party suppliers and negotiating contracts with the aim of increase the current product portfolio offered.
This role will involve occasional travel to other Group and customer sites.
Some of the main accountabilities will include:
Create a clear and compelling product vision Conducting external analysis of the market, customer base and competition Create business cases that Justify the return on investment in the products, while considering the impact on Net Promoter Score (NPS) and the core business strategy Interpreting the analysis and defining the impact on existing products or identifying the need for new products Communication of requirements for additional product to the senior management team Identifying suitable third-party suppliers / partners and carrying out contract negotiations Communicating product/ portfolio plans to the relevant departments: Marketing, Sales & Support Release Management and approving the copy of relevant communications Managing the communication of new releases, bugs and enhancements to external and internal parties Liaising with the necessary departments within the business and working closely with the development teams to ensure agreed milestones/targets are met Acting as “face” of the product group when liaising with stakeholders/customers Running Beta programs Ensure the accuracy of product specifications Managing the ongoing relationship with third party suppliers / partners
Work with key stakeholders to conduct market analysis for your products Define the product roadmap for own products Present the business cases and ROI of product investment to senior management Work with key stakeholders to define new features Produce market requirement documents outline the market and customer requirements of current and future products Manage Product Owners/ Business Analysts to ensure road map is delivered Manage the back log and ensure NPS is maintained or improved Create effective and efficient launch plans Train key teams regarding the product usage and features and benefits Ensure that the product has delivered key features Identify additional revenue opportunities
