We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Business Analyst to join a leading charity on a Maternity Cover contract.

Position: Programme Business Analyst (Maternity Cover)

Location: Home based / flexible

Salary: £34,643 - £38,632

Hours: Full time, 12 month contract (Maternity Cover)

About the Role

Our client are seeking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to join their Conservation Data Management Unit (CDMU) as a maternity cover. Working with staff across the organisation, CDMU oversees the development and use of business systems supporting their conservation work, in particular their in-house GIS database, Merlin. Working in a small team with another Programme Business Analyst and the Head of Business Analysis Services, you will work across a variety of projects to improve their systems and processes. You will be experienced at eliciting requirements, with excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to assimilate large quantities of information, analyse options and make recommendations for solutions. You will also need to be able to work confidently with a range of diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and in locations across the UK and be able to apply a collaborative approach to bridge and bring together their sometimes conflicting demands.

About You:

You will have an innovative and enquiring mind eager to set out new ways of doing things. Experience of working on major transformative projects or programmes, and of business process and benefits management is desirable. The ability to work on multiple concurrent activities as part of a busy team with a can-do attitude will be essential. The team is normally based at the Charities UK Headquarters in the heart of The Lodge Nature Reserve in Bedfordshire but the impact of Covid-19 means the ability to work happily at home in a suitable environment is essential and the successful candidate could be based anywhere in the UK with good broadband connectivity. You will be working with friendly staff who are passionate about conservation so if you are interested in making a real difference for our client and nature conservation in the UK and globally, then they can offer you a unique opportunity to further your business analysis career within the a growing community of Business Analysts.
