Job Description

We are currently looking for a QC Microbiology Team Leader to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the Wiltshire area. As the QC Microbiology Team Leader you will be responsible for leading a team of QC Microbiologists focused on Environmental Monitoring activities.
You will use your previous experience working in a QC Microbiology GMP environment to lead, motivate and develop your team and ensure that all internal and external regulations are adhered to.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the QC Microbiology Team Leader will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Lead a team of Environmental Monitoring (EM) specialists where you will manage their day-to-day activities as well as line management duties.
2. Conduct Quality investigations including CAPAs, Deviations and Change Controls.
3. Train new staff in EM techniques and ensure EM compliance across your team.
4. You will also have the opportunity to develop EM procedures and troubleshoot and process improve as required.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QC Microbiology Team Leader we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a Life Sciences discipline (e.e.g Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology etc.) in addition to previous experience in a QC Microbiology setting within a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company.
2. Proven industry experience in of Environmental Monitoring activities in a Cleanroom setting with an in-depth understanding of GMP regulations and requirements.
3. Experience of supervising junior members of staff where you have the ability to train and develop team members as well as set work loads and targets.
