QC Team Leader (Raw Materials)

Kent, UK

We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join a leading CDMO who support pharmaceutical companies with a full-service offering, taking products from early development through to commercial production. If you are a Team Leader with experience in Quality Control and materials testing, this could before you!

If successful, you will be involved in:

* Recruiting, supervising, and developing the Raw Materials team

* Determining resources required to ensure the success of the Raw Materials department, meeting compliance standards while implementing cost saving initiatives

* Working closely with the Lab Manager to highlight any out of specification issues, missed schedule dates or late testing and raising OOS alerts

* Reviewing the standard of testing and GLP by carrying out verifications

* Continually reviewing team performance

* Carrying out investigations, providing reports and suggesting improvements

* Implementing company policy within the team

* Identifying any product issues and notify the Qualified Person

* Representing the company at Regulatory audits

This role will see you as the section leader within Pharmaceutical Operations, responsible for the management of the whole Raw Materials testing programme in the UK.

Requirements for this role include:

* A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry

* Detailed knowledge of analytical techniques in a highly instrumented environment, eg HPLC

* 2+ years of management/leadership experience & confidence addressing challenging team issues

* Knowledge of regulations and policies

* Excellent communication skills
