About the role
As the Regional Brand Marketing Director, EMEA, you will sit on the brand marketing leadership team with a fundamental mission to bring our audiences across EMEA on a journey to discover and fall in love with Canva’s products. We are looking for a dynamic, operational, and creative leader with strong experience in brand marketing to lead this effort. You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of local campaigns, with the support of global marketers, brand media, social and creative. You’ll work to build ways of working with the global teams, and equally, work to bring new locally relevant campaigns and initiatives to the table. It will be your role to determine how to reach a diverse set of customers, as you develop innovative, creative, and efficient ways to reach our brand marketing goals. Most of all, you will thrive in a fast-moving, fluid environment, and be passionate about the opportunity to shape Regional Brand Marketing at Canva and empower the world to design.
What you'll do You will work to build out a multi-year strategy to grow brand awareness in EMEA through cross-functional marketing campaigns, events, and partnerships. Leading the local execution of each. You will be comfortable being a do-er and leading campaign efforts while also scaling out a team to support you. You will hire and develop extraordinary marketers, mobilizing them to execute and build local vision while positioning them to achieve their ambitious professional development goals. You will work with creative and also may develop agency strategy to support marketing management and creative needs. You will work with, marketing, community, social, and product leads to present new ideas, build local campaigns that delight customers, grow brand awareness and love.
What we're looking for You have 8+ years of experience as a brand marketing leader who is equally strategic and execution-oriented who has managed global campaigns. You’re highly plugged into the local and regional culture and trends. You have worked in agencies or have managed a large scope of agency relationships. You’ve worked in a global marketing organization and understand how to function with global and regional teams. You have a track record of scaling and developing high-performing and happy marketing teams to achieve effective and creative work An energy giver with a positive outlook and the ability to influence your team leads, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions. Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment A natural team player, with a strong track record of cross-functional leadership and partnership. High emotional intelligence, empathy. A sense of humor is a must! Comfortable working in a distributed environment with team members in Sydney, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other markets. Being a Force for good.
