Are you an experienced Mental Health Practitioner who is looking to take the next step in your career development? Then this could be the job for you. An exciting opportunity for an additional Clinical Team Leader role has arisen within the Chichester Assessment and Treatment Service.

The Chichester Assessment and Treatment team has an excellent skill mix of new and established staff, who work with both patients, families and carers' within the Coastal-Sussex area. We are looking for a passionate, committed mental health professional that have an interest in gaining experience within a leadership role. You will be committed to maintaining and improving service delivery for individual’s who have complex mental health needs whilst delivering care and treatment to the highest quality.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will need to be able to communicate and work with staff from a variety of professional backgrounds and a have a compassionate, holistic and person-cantered approach to this exciting post. The Clinical Team Leader will provide clinical and operational leadership to a team of staff to ensure the service is Caring, Well Led, Safe, Effective, and Responsive to service user’s needs. The role provides an opportunity to develop a broad portfolio of relevant skills and competencies whilst experiencing support within an established management structure. All of your skills and formal learning will be fully supported and developed through management, clinical supervision and training opportunities.

The Nursing Associate will bring a breadth of knowledge and skills to the Community Mental Health Team, working independently under the leadership of registered nurses, providing nursing care and delivering all aspects of the nursing process. This includes undertaking a full range of routine care tasks as directed by the registered nurse and delivering care for patients who are experiencing a range of complex mental health needs in the community.

On starting your new position you will join the Preceptorship Academy programme which includes study days, support and development opportunities. There will also be openings to develop your career which may include a pathway to become a registered nurse. This will be dependent on the trust supporting the development of this training pathway

This Nursing Associate role is based in Bognor Regis/Crawley with our community teams.
