We are currently recruiting for an experienced, warm and engaging
Reservations Manager to join our new central reservations team at Red Carnation
Hotels. The central reservations team manage reservations for our 6 London
Hotels and 2 Hotels in Dorset.




The office is open 7 days a week from 8am – 9pm and is located
in the Rubens at the Palace Hotel. As the office is open 7 days a week this
means there will be regular weekend’s involved.




As a Reservations Manager you will support the Head of
Central Reservations with the running of the department. You will be
responsible for ensuring all of our rates, restrictions and packages are up to
date that the team is fully aware of any changes. You will lead and motivate
the team ensuring they are operating at a high level and providing our guests
with great service and on track to meet targets.




Key responsibilities of the Reservations Manager will
include:



  • To train and develop team members to ensure they
    are flourishing in their role and meeting expectations
  • Managing the performance of the team and hold
    regular reviews
  • Taking an active lead in people related matters
    such as recruitment
  • Having excellent knowledge of our hotels so you
    can advise guests accordingly of which package is best for them based on their
    needs
  • To ensure all information, procedures,
    negotiated rates and special promotions are communicated to reservations,
    reception and accounts effectively. To liaise with these departments on a
    regular basis to prevent issues arising
  • To utilise business mix and maximise average
    room rates in accordance with the guidelines set
  • To attend regular management meetings and
    communicate daily with the managers in our hotels








The ideal candidate for the Reservations Manager position
should:



  • Have a positive attitude, warm personality and
    strong interpersonal skills
  • Be enthusiastic in delivering outstanding levels
    of guest service
  • Have previous experience managing a team in a
    similar role
  • Be able to work well under pressure and have
    strong organisational skills
  • Display a positive, polite and professional
    attitude at all times
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal
    and written
