Elmwood Medical Centre has an excellent opportunity for a salaried GP to work up to 6 sessions per week (a job share would be considered) with the potential view to partnership in a well-established and reputable GP Practice

The Practice is located in the picturesque spa town of Buxton, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Peak District, within a comfortable commute of Manchester and Sheffield. The Practice has 3 GP Partners, a salaried GP, 2 nurse practitioners, 3 practice nurses and a healthcare assistant who work together to provide high quality care for approx. 8500 patients. Elmwood Medical Centre is part of the High Peak Primary Care Network and is actively involved in the work being carried out by the PCN in order to improve services for the wider PCN patient population of around 60,000.

We are a high achieving and progressive Practice who are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to help us deliver a number of new initiatives that will improve services for patients. The Practice has ambitions to become a training Practice again and currently takes medical students.

We pride ourselves on looking after both our patients and staff within a pleasant working environment and have a high staff retention rate, high patient satisfaction, Good CQC rating, and 100% QOF achievement for the last 2 years. The Practice is supportive in encouraging staff to develop new skills for the benefit of the Practice and its patients. Our experienced admin team work in collaboration with all members of the clinical team to reduce unnecessary workload using initiatives such as signposting for appointments and triaging of clinical documents.
