What will I be doing?
As Sales Manager, you will analyse local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Develop relations and work closely with Hilton Worldwide Sales team to maximise exposure of the upcoming hotel by attending agency visits and putting together fam trips
Develop solid relationships with the Silverstone team working alongside the on-site Conference and Events team to maximise on opportunity for the Hotel
Ability to work on own initiative and manage own diary to maximise time spent face to face with potential clients/agents while ensuring customer requests are managed in a timely manner and to the highest quality
Attend Sales Events/Road Shows as relevant
Ability to secure new accommodation and group business in order to develop a portfolio of customer accounts locally and nationally to support the hotel opening.
Extensive experience of negotiating corporate and group rates at a senior level in line with hotel strategy
Knowledge/experience of working with owners and senior leaders
Developing and implementing creative marketing initiatives to attract new business, including leading the hotel's social media channels
Experience of working within a similar sport-related business would be advantageous but not essential
