Job Description

A Sales Manager analyses local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.

What will I be doing?

As Sales Manager, you will analyse local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Develop relations and work closely with Hilton Worldwide Sales team to maximise exposure of the upcoming hotel by attending agency visits and putting together fam trips

  • Develop solid relationships with the Silverstone team working alongside the on-site Conference and Events team to maximise on opportunity for the Hotel

  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage own diary to maximise time spent face to face with potential clients/agents while ensuring customer requests are managed in a timely manner and to the highest quality

  • Attend Sales Events/Road Shows as relevant

  • Ability to secure new accommodation and group business in order to develop a portfolio of customer accounts locally and nationally to support the hotel opening.

  • Extensive experience of negotiating corporate and group rates at a senior level in line with hotel strategy

  • Knowledge/experience of working with owners and senior leaders

  • Developing and implementing creative marketing initiatives to attract new business, including leading the hotel's social media channels

  • Experience of working within a similar sport-related business would be advantageous but not essential
