The role of a Senior Traffic Engineer is to support senior staff and Principal Engineers through providing technical support for a wide range of project. The role requires knowledge of traffic and transportation with the ability to develop and initiate traffic schemes from inception through to completion.
A bit about the role:
Project managing in accordance with Client requirements Provide technical support on projects and advice on complex technical issues. Ensure all project files are up to date and comply with the QA system Check output produced by other staff in terms of reports / drawings and its certification Respond to Client and customer requests and enquiries and ensuring that their needs are met Forge working links with professionals in Client partner organisations To input into marketing and business development activity for the business unit To be flexible - carry out any duties as and when required for the good of the company To manage all staff under their department / core area effectively and encourage and motivate performance
A bit about you:
Relevant Degree or equivalent A minimum of 5 year’s relevant experience Membership of a professional institution (e.g. MILT, MICE or MCIHT) or aiming towards Professional qualification to Chartered / Incorporated level with a professional institution Alternative consideration given to relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification Comprehensive understanding of transportation techniques including an understanding of Parking engineering, traffic engineering and traffic management orders and a proven track record in project design and delivery Good understanding of relevant highway legislation in transportation
The position comes with:
