This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced paediatric nurse to join a dynamic team to provide high quality nursing care and health promotion to children in special schools and their home environment and play an important role in the development of this service.
You will work with and oversee a small team of nurses to develop the service across 2 special schools in York as well as holding a clinical caseload.
We are looking for an exceptional and highly skilled candidate. The successful candidate will have experience in working with children with complex needs, learning disabilities and their families. You will be highly motivated, well organised and able to act on your own initiative. A Community Qualification such as CCN, SCPHN, Health Visitor or equivalent is required.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with families and colleagues are also essential. In return we offer; on-going professional development, clinical supervision and an opportunity to contribute to the team’s development.
