We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Registered Nurses, with a qualification in Mental Health Nursing who would like to work within a Rehabilitation service. Hampden House is a 12 bedded inpatient rehabilitation unit supporting service users towards their journey of recovery from long term mental health problems. We work with a multi-disciplinary team comprising , Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist and Health Care assistants. You will have skills to provide effective support and interventions and to work collaboratively with service users in developing recovery goals and plans. You will also provide the nursing voice in multi-disciplinary clinical discussions, care planning and assessments and be recovery orientated in your approach to the care you deliver.We believe strongly in supporting our staff and provide opportunities for personal and professional development. You will have regular supervision, opportunities to develop and enhance your clinical skills through supervision and training and also access to engage with the wider Multidisciplinary team.The unit is situated in the market town of Hitchin within 5 minutes walk to the town centre. There is also free staff parking on site. We work closely with one another to provide a safe service – strong team working and communication skills are key skills required within the nursing role. For newly qualified nurses, we offer a Preceptorship programme with excellent personal development opportunities. The aim of Preceptorship is for the newly qualified nurse to engage in a structured process of support and development ensuring a safe and enjoyable period of transition from student to newly qualified nurse.All newly qualified nurses will engage in a formal learning experience inclusive of 11 study days specific to your role as a newly registered nurse.
