Support Practitioner (Positive Behaviour)

St Elizabeth's is situated in 68 acres of Hertfordshire parkland between Harlow and Bishop's Stortford. We support people with Epilepsy and other complex needs from the age of 5 through to 78 in our Children's Home, School, College, Residential Homes with nursing and Day Centre. Over 150 adults and children call St Elizabeth's their home making us an inspirational place to do great work.

Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £27,298 - £30,136 per annum (depending on experience)

About the role:

This an exciting opportunity to join our Positive Behaviour Support team within our newly formed Directorate of Education and Skills. This role requires you to act as a positive role model and therapeutic lead for the assessment and support of residents and learners alike. You will provide training and development of all staff regarding positive behaviour management, and oversee the written contributions of annual reports for learners and residents. This role offers a real opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of our service users.

Additionally, you will support staff and parents in their interactions with learners and residents, attending and chairing multi-disciplinary meetings, education and care review meetings; conducting debriefs and reflective practice, and give 1:1 specialist supervision as required.

About you:

Your Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification combined with effective communication and record keeping skills will enable you to provide the highest standard of care to our service users. You will also need an understanding of epilepsy treatment and management.
