We are looking to recruit passionate Support Practitioners to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in Rainworth.

Out of 100s of services, Rainworth has been chosen as the area to pilot a new approach in Health and Social Care. You will have the opportunity to join existing Support Practitioners working in a self-empowered team. This means the team has increased freedom and choice in their day to day work meaning they can be responsive and provide a better quality of life for the people we support. As a team you will be supported by a coach and quality leads. Research shows that teams that work in this empowered way are happier in their work role. Do you want to make a positive difference to people ’s lives?  With full time, part time positions available, flexibility is key for both yourself and the Service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts. Shifts vary; including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and waking nights so there are plenty of opportunities available. The role of a Support Practitioner can be challenging at times, so it is essential to have a positive mind-set with a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will need to be quick thinking and caring with a positive can-do attitude. As a Support Practitioner, you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.
  • Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom. 
  • Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals. 
  • Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships. 
  • Community & Social Inclusion – Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
  • Be willing and able to contribute to the management, decision making and delivery of the support at the service. 
  • Be willing to learn new skills to support the management of the service. (Time off rota will be available to complete these tasks)
